Prayer: Embracing the New You
As I embark on this journey of transformation, I pray that you will guide me and give me the strength to embrace the new me. Help me to let go of my old ways and to be renewed in the spirit of my mind. I ask that you reveal to me the spiritual gifts you have instilled in me and that I may use them to make a difference in my life and in the lives of others.
I pray that I may recognize your will for me and strive to live a life that is pleasing to you. I ask for the courage to put on the new self, created after you in true righteousness and holiness.
I am thankful for the blessings in my life and I give you the glory for them. I pray that I may be strengthened with all power according to your glorious might, and that I may endure and persevere with joy.
May I always be transformed on the journey by you, and may my life bring glory to your name.
Amen.
Embracing the New You
It’s easy to get stuck in a rut and feel like you’re not making progress in life. We all go through times of change, and Colossians 1:9-14 speaks to the idea of embracing the new you. This passage encourages us to strive for greater things, to grow in our faith, and to be thankful for the blessings in our lives. It’s a reminder that we can find strength in God even in the face of change.
The passage tells us to “be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding” (Colossians 1:9). This means that we should strive to understand God’s will for us in all aspects of our lives, from our relationships to our careers. When we come to understand God’s will for us, we can be more open to the changes that come our way. We can embrace the new you and use the strength that comes from our faith to make positive changes in our lives.
Colossians 1:10 also tells us to “walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him.” This means that we should strive to live in a way that pleases God. We should strive to be kind and compassionate to those around us and to exemplify God’s love and grace. We should also be thankful for the blessings in our lives, no matter how small they may seem.
Finally, Colossians 1:11-14 reminds us to “strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.” This passage encourages us to find strength in God, even in the face of change. We should be thankful for the blessings that God has given us, and use them to help us embrace the new you.
As we look to Colossians 1:9-14, we are reminded that God desires for us to be transformed and renewed in our minds and hearts. We must embrace the new and improved you that God has in store for us, and strive to be the best version of ourselves we can be. May this reminder be a source of hope and assurance that God is working within us to make us new in Him. We are being transformed on the journey.
I am incredibly excited for the 2023 theme of “Transformed on the Journey by God.” This theme speaks to me on a deep level and I believe it will be a great opportunity to reflect on the ways in which God has changed us and our lives. I am looking forward to learning more about this journey of transformation, and how I can apply it to my own life. I'm sure that this year will be filled with amazing experiences as we all explore this theme together.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come to you today with a heart full of gratitude and a desire to follow in the footsteps of your son, Jesus Christ. We recognize the transformative power of a Christ-like attitude and the positive impact it can have on our lives and the lives of those around us.
Help us to embrace humility and selflessness, to serve others with a servant's heart, and to be content in every situation. May we strive to be like Christ, extending grace, love, and forgiveness to those around us, and making a lasting difference in the world.
We pray for the strength and wisdom to focus our hearts and minds on the positive aspects of life and to find joy, peace, and purpose in every moment. Thank you for the gift of a Christ-like attitude and the impact it can have on our lives.
In Jesus' name, we pray.
Amen.
How a Christ-Like Attitude Can Transform Your Life
Christ was humble, selfless, and loving. He always put others before himself and never sought to elevate himself above anyone else. He demonstrated that it is possible to be successful without having to be boastful or proud, and he showed us that true success comes from serving others and doing what is right. If we can strive to have the same attitude of humility and selflessness as Christ, we can make a positive difference in the world.
Having a Christ-like attitude also means having a servant’s heart. Christ was always willing to help and serve others, and he showed us that true joy and peace come from serving others. When we serve others, it can be transformative in our own lives as well. We can learn to be content in any situation and be filled with a sense of purpose and joy.
Having the same attitude as Christ can be profoundly transformative. It can help us become humble and selfless, serve others, and learn to be content in any situation. As we strive to be like Christ, we can make a lasting difference in the world and in our own lives.
No greater power exists than the power of a Christ-like attitude. When we make the conscious effort to extend grace, love, and forgiveness to those around us, we are rewarded with a life of joy and peace. Our relationships become richer and more meaningful, and we become more content and fulfilled. When we focus our hearts and minds on the positive aspects of life, we find that our outlook on life and our prospects for the future become brighter and more optimistic. A Christ-like attitude changes everything!

Prayer: Transformed by the Love of God
Heavenly Father,
We thank You for Your unconditional love that is transforming us from the inside out. We thank You for the comfort and peace that comes from knowing that You are with us every step of the way.
Help us to become more like You as we put a focus on loving others in the same way that You have loved us. May we love with an unconditional, never-ending love that is rooted in Your grace and mercy.
Give us the strength and courage to stay the course, no matter what challenges or struggles come our way. May we remain steadfast in our faith and trust You to lead us through any hardship.
We thank You for Your loving kindness and tender mercies that You pour out on us each and every day. In Your name we pray,
Transformed by the Love of God
Love comes from God and is the ultimate source of transformation (1 John 4:17)
Love is a powerful force that comes from God and is the ultimate source of transformation. 1 John 4:17 NASB states, “By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.” This verse is a reminder that God’s love is perfect and can provide us with the strength to transform ourselves and the world around us. Through His love, we can overcome any obstacles and bring about positive change.
When we accept God’s love and let it transform us, we can love in return (1 John 4:18)
When we accept God's love and let it transform us, we can show love to others in return. 1 John 4:18 NASB reminds us that There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. Let us take this reminder to heart and strive to love others as God loves us.
When we love others, we become more like God (1 John 4:19)
When we love others, we are reflecting God's own love. 1 John 4:19 NASB reminds us that God is love and that by loving others, we become more like Him. Loving others with kindness, acceptance, and compassion helps us to build relationships that honor God and promote peace and unity in the world.
Love is the foundation of a transformed life (1 John 4:19)
Love is the foundation of a transformed life, and 1 John 4:19 NASB reminds us of this truth. This verse tells us that we should love one another because God first loved us, and when we give and receive love, it transforms our lives in powerful ways. We become better versions of ourselves and can better serve our families, communities, and the world.
Let us all be transformed by the love of God (1 John 4:19)
1 John 4:19 NASB reminds us that God's love can transform us in amazing ways. When we open our hearts to His love, we can experience a greater sense of peace, joy, and strength. This transformation is available to us all, so let us embrace the love of God and be changed for the better.
We can be transformed by the love of God. When we open our hearts to receive His love, it will fill us and allow us to love in return, which will lead us to become more like God and build a solid foundation for transformation. May we all strive to be transformed by the love of God.

Prayer: Transformed Living with Others
We come to you today seeking your guidance and wisdom as we strive to live transformed lives with others. Help us to be like-minded, with a heart filled with humility and gentleness.
Grant us the patience to bear with one another, even when we disagree. Give us the courage to speak the truth in love, and the grace to pray for one another in times of need.
May our actions reflect the same attitude of mind that Christ Jesus had, and may we always strive to put the needs of others before our own.
Let us be a shining light in the darkness, showing the world the beauty of living in unity and harmony with others. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
Transformed Living with Others
As believers, we are called to live in unity and harmony with others. This is not always easy, but the Bible gives us guidelines on how to do so. In Philippians 2:1-7, Paul encourages us to have the same mindset as Jesus, and to be humble, gentle, and patient when dealing with others.
- Be like-minded. Philippians 2:2 tells us to “make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.” We should strive to be unified in our beliefs and actions, so that we can all work together for the same purpose.
- Have the same attitude as Christ. In Philippians 2:5-6, Paul instructs us to “have in you the same attitude that Christ Jesus had, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped.” We should follow Jesus’ example of humility and servanthood, and remember that all people are of equal value, regardless of our differences.
- Be humble. In Philippians 2:3, Paul says to “do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit”. Rather than striving for our own glory and recognition, we should seek to serve others and put their needs above our own.
- Be gentle. Paul also tells us in Philippians 2:4 to “not merely look out for our own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.” We should be gentle and kind to others, even when we disagree with them.
- Be patient. In Philippians 2:7, Paul encourages us to “have the same attitude of mind toward one another that Christ Jesus had.” We should be patient with others, and not expect them to be perfect.
- Speak the truth in love. In Ephesians 4:15, Paul tells us to “speak the truth in love.” We should always speak the truth, but we should do so in a loving way, so that our words do not hurt or offend.
- Pray for others. Finally, we should always be praying for others. James 5:16 NASB says Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. Praying for others is an important part of our faith journey. It is a way of lifting each other up, supporting each other, and showing love. When we pray for others, we can be assured that God will hear and answer our prayers in His perfect timing.
As we strive to live a transformed life with others, let us remember the words of Philippians 2:1-7: be like-minded, have the same attitude as Christ, be humble, gentle, patient, speak the truth in love, and pray for others. May we use these words as a guide to our actions and interactions with others, always seeking to show respect, kindness, understanding, and compassion. Let us be inspired to be a light in the darkness and show the world what it means to live transformed lives with others.

Focus on What's Important: Proverbs 4:23
Life can be overwhelming sometimes. There are so many pressures, distractions, and commitments that can leave us feeling stressed and exhausted. But Proverbs 4:23 LSB reminds us that there is one thing that matters above all else: “Guard your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life.”
This verse is a reminder that our heart is the most important thing in our lives. It's the source of our joy, strength, and purpose. When we focus on our hearts and nurture them with positive thoughts, we can find the motivation and energy we need to tackle any challenge. When we guard our hearts and prioritize our mental and emotional well-being, we can find the courage and resilience we need to keep going in the face of adversity.
It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life and neglect our hearts. We can become so focused on achieving goals and “succeeding” that we forget to take care of our own needs and desires. But Proverbs 4:23 is a reminder that our hearts are not something to be taken lightly. We must be intentional about protecting our hearts and nurturing them with love, kindness, and joy.
Proverbs 4:23 reminds us that our hearts are the most important thing in our lives. We must guard our hearts with all diligence and prioritize our mental and emotional well-being. When we do this, we can find the motivation and strength we need to tackle any challenge and keep going in the face of adversity.

Transformed by the Power of God's Spirit
Paul writes to the church in Rome in Romans 8:5-10, emphasizing the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. He paints a vivid picture of how the Spirit of God can transform us, leading us to the righteousness of God. As we live by the power of the Spirit, we are transformed and equipped to live in obedience to God's will.
- The Spirit of God Gives Us Life (Romans 8:5-6). Paul emphasizes the power of the Spirit to give us spiritual life. We can be made alive to God and receive the power of the Spirit as we surrender ourselves to Him.
- The Spirit of God Gives Us Freedom (Romans 8:7). Paul reminds us that we are free from the law of sin and death when we are living in the Spirit. We no longer have to be enslaved to sin, but can walk in the freedom that comes from the Spirit.
- The Spirit of God Gives Us Strength (Romans 8:8-9). Paul encourages us to be strengthened by the Spirit of God. We can have the courage to stand firm in our faith, no matter what attacks come our way.
- The Spirit of God Gives Us Hope (Romans 8:10). Paul reminds us of the hope we have in Christ, and that the Spirit of God will help us live out that hope. We can have confidence in the future as we walk with the Spirit.
As we live by the power of the Spirit, we are transformed and equipped to live in obedience to God's will. We can be made alive to God, experience freedom from sin, be strengthened by the Spirit, and have hope for the future. May we be empowered by the Spirit to live each day in obedience to His will.

Open our hearts and minds to your love, so that we may experience the transformation that comes from it. Transformation Through Love: An Inspirational Look at Mark 12:29-30
In today’s world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, confused and discouraged. We often forget that transformation is possible, through the power of love. Mark 12:29-30 NASB reminds us that God’s love can help us to be transformed, if we are willing to accept it. Let’s take a closer look at how love can bring about transformation.
The Bible tells us that “the most important one is, ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’” (Mark 12:29-30 NASB). Love is a powerful force that can bring about transformation and healing. When we open our hearts to God’s love, and allow it to fill our hearts, it brings about a transformation in our lives. It can help us to put aside our worries, our doubts and our fears, and to focus on the things that truly matter.
In order to experience transformation through love, we must be willing to open our hearts and minds to God’s love. We must be willing to let go of our expectations and our preconceived notions of what we think love should look like. Once we do that, we can begin to experience a transformation in our lives. We can begin to see things differently, and to appreciate the beauty that is all around us. We can begin to let go of our worries and our fears, and to see life through a new lens.
We can also experience transformation through love by taking action. We can choose to love others, even when it’s difficult. We can choose to be kind, even when it’s hard. We can choose to be generous, even when it’s uncomfortable. We can choose to forgive, even when it’s hard to do so. All of these choices can help us to experience transformation and growth.
We can be transformed through the power of love. When we love God with all our heart, soul and mind and love our neighbors as ourselves, we become vessels of God’s transforming love. Let us open our hearts to the power of God’s love and be changed forever.

Prayer: Transformation Through Attention
Dear Lord,
We come to you today seeking your guidance and wisdom as we journey towards transformation. Help us to be mindful of the thoughts that we think, the people we surround ourselves with, the actions we take, and the beliefs that we hold. May we always be conscious of the direction that our lives are taking and the impact that it will have on our ultimate goals.
We pray that we may have the strength and courage to align our thoughts with our values, to surround ourselves with positive and supportive people, to take purposeful actions that will bring us closer to our goals, and to believe in our worth and the potential that you have given us.
We ask that you guide us on this journey, Lord, and help us to stay focused and keep our eyes on the prize. May your love and grace be upon us as we seek to be transformed through attention and purpose. Amen.
Transformation Through Attention
We live in a world where it can be easy to get distracted from our ultimate goals and objectives. Proverbs 14:12 NASB says, There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. This timeless truth teaches us that we must always be mindful of where we are going and the path that will take us there. Today, I want to talk about transformation through attention and the four points that will help us on our journey.
Pay Attention to What You Think: Thoughts are powerful and can help shape the direction of our lives. It's important to be mindful of what we are thinking and to ensure our thoughts are aligned with our goals.
Pay Attention to Who You Hang Out With: It's important to recognize that the people we surround ourselves with can have a huge influence on our lives. We should strive to be around people who will encourage us and help us to stay focused on our ultimate destination.
Pay Attention to What You Do: Our actions play a huge role in the direction of our lives. We should focus our efforts on doing things that will help us to reach our goals and avoid activities that could potentially lead us astray.
Pay Attention to What You Believe: Our beliefs and values are the foundation for the direction of our lives. We must be sure we are believing in things that will help us to stay on track and not get sidetracked by beliefs that will ultimately lead us down the wrong path.
Transformation through attention is a journey we must all take if we want to reach our ultimate goals. We must pay attention to what we think, who we surround ourselves with, what we do, and what we believe. We must stay focused and keep our eyes on the prize if we want to experience true and lasting transformation.

We trust in you, Lord, to sustain us and guide us on our faith journey. Help us to stay focused on loving you and our neighbor, and to be open to the transforming power of your love.
