Transformed Through the Journey: A Year-End Reflection

As we come to the close of this blessed year, we reflect on our theme: Transformed: Transformed through the Journey. We give thanks to God for guiding us through each step, celebrating the growth and blessings we've experienced together.

This year has been a journey of transformation. We've learned that the transformation in our Christian walk with God is essential for our spiritual growth and development. When we accept Jesus into our lives, we become new creations, given the opportunity to become all that God has created us to be. Through this journey, we've been reminded that we must be willing to be transformed by God’s Word, living according to His will, and allowing Him to shape us into the people He wants us to be.

Our transformation has made us more compassionate and loving, more patient and understanding, more humble and forgiving. This ongoing process is essential for us to become the best versions of ourselves and to live a life that is pleasing to God.

As we focused on being TRANSFORMED THROUGH THE JOURNEY this year, we remained steadfast, unmovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord. We recognized that transformation is a continuous process. I am being transformed, as you are being transformed. Together, we've had the courage to work for CHANGE, found rest for our SOULS in God, embraced Christ-centered AUTHENTICITY, and discovered our SELF-WORTH in Christ. We learned to exhale DOUBT by breathing faith, understanding that FAILURE teaches us that the RISK is worth it. Through spiritual EMPOWERMENT, we are leaving a LEGACY. We've cultivated RESILIENCE, knowing that POSITIVITY is a choice.

Here's to a transformational 2023! May God bless each one of you as we continue on this journey together. Let us follow the example set by the Apostles: preaching, teaching, fellowship, and prayer.

May our journey ahead be filled with continued transformation and the abundant blessings of God.

With gratitude and hope.

In Christ,
Pastor Samuel Bailey Wilson, III

Transformed by the Power of the Bible

As we strive to become the best version of ourselves, we can’t forget the power of the Bible. It is a book that is full of wisdom and knowledge, and it can help us to become transformed in Christ. In 1 Corinthians 3:18 NASB, we are reminded of the importance of reading the Scriptures, as it can help to shape us into the people we are meant to be.

The Bible is full of stories that provide us with insight and guidance. It can help us to understand our purpose in life and how we can become the people God has called us to be. As we read the Bible, we can gain a better understanding of God’s will for our lives, and how to live according to His plan. We also gain a better grasp on the importance of faith, forgiveness, and love.

The Bible also has the power to encourage and motivate us. Through its words, we are reminded of the strength of God and His ability to transform us. We can be reminded of the power of prayer and the importance of trusting in Him. As we begin to understand the power of the Bible and its message, we can begin to be transformed by the power of God.

Praying: A Powerful Tool for Transformation

Prayer is a powerful tool of transformation available to us as we seek to be transformed by God. Prayer allows us to take our worries, fears, and doubts to God and receive guidance, direction, and strength. In 1 Corinthians 3:18, the Apostle Paul encourages us to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” He reminds us that prayer is a tool we can use to do this.

Prayer is a way for us to open our hearts and minds to God. It allows us to express ourselves to Him and to listen for His voice in return. Prayer can help us to quiet our minds and free us from the chaos of our daily lives. It can help us to better discern God’s will and to live in obedience to it. It can also help us to find peace and comfort in difficult times.

Prayer is a powerful tool of transformation. It allows us to open our hearts and minds to God and to discern His will in our lives. It can help us to find peace, comfort, and strength in difficult times. We can all benefit from regularly praying and seeking to be transformed by God.

Actions Steps (Transformed on the Journey)

Here are some steps you can take to be transformed on the journey.

  1. Pray for guidance and clarity. Ask God to lead you on your journey of transformation.
  2. Spend time in the Word. Get to know the Bible and study 2 Corinthians 3:18 NASB.
  3. Reflect on your life. Take time to think deeply about your life and how it can be transformed by God.
  4. Connect with people of faith. Find ways to connect with other believers who can encourage and support you as you journey.

  7. Give God the glory. As you experience transformation through your journey, give thanks to God and give Him all the glory.

Transformation: Transformed through the Journey

The power of transformation is a powerful thing. God can change our lives in incredible ways if we let Him. We are beginning a new sermons series called Transformed: Transformed through the Journey. In 1 Corinthians 16:14 NASB, Paul states “Let all that you do be done in love.” This passage offers us a valuable lesson in the power of transformation and how God can use it to transform us.

Being transformed by God requires us to surrender our will to Him and allow Him to guide us. We must first understand that transformation is a process and not a single event. We must be willing to accept the changes that come our way and trust in God’s plan for us. We must be willing to take risks and put our faith in Him. When we surrender ourselves to God, we are allowing Him to work in us and through us.

We must also be willing to take action. We cannot just sit back and wait for God to do all the work. We must actively seek out God’s will for our lives and strive to do it. We must be willing to make changes in our lives that are consistent with His plan. We must be willing to put ourselves out there and take risks in order to follow God’s leading.

Finally, we must be patient. We must understand that transformation is a process and not something that will happen overnight. We must be patient with ourselves and with others as we strive to be transformed by God. We must be willing to take small steps and trust that God is leading us in the right direction.

Transformation is a powerful thing. By allowing God to work in us and through us, we can be transformed in ways we never thought possible. As we surrender our will to Him, take action, and be patient, we can be changed by God in ways that will bless us and those around us.

Transformed: Transformed through the Journey

We are still traveling on this journey and adventure. This year we will focus on being transformed as we go on the journey.

The transformation we must undergo on our Christian walk with God is essential for our spiritual growth and development. When we accept Jesus into our lives, we become new creations and are given the opportunity to become all that God has created us to be. We must be willing to be transformed by God’s Word and learn to live according to His will, allowing Him to shape us into the people He wants us to be. Through transformation, we can become more compassionate and loving, more patient and understanding, more humble and forgiving. Transformation is essential for us to become the best versions of ourselves and to live a life that is pleasing to God.

As we focus on TRANSFORMED THROUGH THE JOURNEY this year, let us be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. I am being transformed, as you are being transformed. We must have the courage to work for CHANGE, tells our SOULs to rest in God, have Christ centered AUTHENTICITY, know our SELF-WORTH in Christ, exhale DOUBT, by breathing faith, as we learn from FAILURE that the RISK is worth it, remembering that through spiritual EMPOWERMENT for the journey, we can leave a LEGACY. Always cultivate your RESILIENCE because POSITIVITY is a choice.

Here's to a transformational 2023. May God bless each one of you. As you follow the example set example set by the Apostles: preaching, teaching, fellowship, and prayer.

In Christ,
Pastor Samuel Bailey Wilson, III
