About Pastor Samuel Bailey Wilson, III


Pastor Samuel Bailey Wilson, III (1962) was one of 10 children born to Samuel Bailey Wilson, II and Virginia Wilson in Wiley, Maddocha. He grew up in Wiley, attending and graduating from J. Gerald Longholme High School. He a member of Mt. Live Baptist Church in Wiley. He received his early religious training and was baptized at the church.

He moved to Carrington, Maddocha and received additional religious training at Drake Baptist University in 1980, with a degree in Theology. He received his Masters of Arts in Pastoral Care from Drake Baptist University in 1986. He is a member of Pi Nu Xi fraternity.

He served as assistant pastor at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Wiley, Maddocha (1984-1988) and Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, Edmond, Maddocha (1990-1995). He served as pastor at McGee Chapel Baptist Church in Edmond, Maddocha (1996-2000).

In October 2000, Pastor Bailey Wilson was called to the Greater Glory Baptist Church, where he continues to serve faithfully as pastor, teacher, counselor, mentor, and friend. He serves on the Edmond Association of Baptist Churches Board, as well as the Maddocha Fellowship of Baptist Churches Board.

He is married to Claire (Hollis) Wilson (1994) and they have 3 grown children Martha Real (26), Georgia Lawrence (24), and Samuel Bailey, IV (22). They have 5 grandchildren Mikia (5), Neomi (5), Gavin (3), Corden (3), and Kiersten (1).
